For the better part of this year I have been working on an Art Deco Surf Posters series. The initial release of this series is based on my home beaches around Caloundra; Moffat Beach featuring Ma & Pa Bendall and Moffat Headland. Dicky Beach featuring the famous SS Dicky shipwreck and Kings Beach featuring the iconic Pavilion kiosk building and the Glasshouse Mountains. These are beaches, scenes and landmarks very close to my heart and home.
You can own your own set (or individual) of prints of these posters! The original paintings sold immediately: but high-quality prints of this set are available at the original A1 size mounted to a 3mm metal mount with Matte Laminate. You are welcome to buy the whole set or individually.

I will be expanding this art deco posters series over time to include locations all around Australia and iconic beaches and surf breaks around the world. For example, I’m currently working on ideas for the Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Sydney beaches – also famous surf breaks in Bali, Hawaii, California and South Africa.
If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know, I would love feedback and suggestions on places that you have travelled to that you would love to have hanging in your house or office.
Art Deco has been a style that I’ve been intrigued with for a long time, I even studied the movement and specific Art Deco artists while studying at university. It is a style that is steeped in history and is characterised by its bold geometric forms, rich colour palettes and use in advertising.
This idea to create surf posters based on the Art Deco style has been with me for about 5 or 6 years and this year I finally had an opportunity to apply it to the Caloundra Music Festival poster artwork and this series has come off the back of that.
