This Thursday, 18th May I’ll be making a little presentation at the Pacha Kucha Night “Making Waves” which is part of the Sunshine Coast Surf Film Festival. In support of the festival the Pecha Kucha night will open the 4 day pop-up gallery at Moffat Beach with several guest speakers telling stories about their relationship with the ocean and the journey of making waves.
If you haven’t heard of Pecha Kucha before, it’s a simple concept. Each guest speaker has 20 images to display or 20 seconds each. Among the speakers for Making Waves will be surf film makers, architects, surf photographers and a couple of surf and ocean artists including myself.
In addition to the local surf art on display, there will be a bar and food. If you’re on the Sunshine Coast and would like to support the inaugural Sunshine Coast Surf Film Festival, make sure you head down to Moffat Beach on Thursday night – some and say hi, chat about art, surfing and life.
