All of my workshops and retreats are tailored to your interests and budget and range from a half-day painting or photography workshop, to a full 3 or 4 day retreat of painting, photography and surfing at beautiful Moffat Beach. Workshops and retreats are catered to individuals and small groups.
Learn not only about the technical side of painting (colour, composition, technique) but also how to become an eco conscious artist and test environmentally friendly materials that I use.
Photography Workshops (wildlife, surf, landscape)
Focussed more on the subject than the technical side of photography – learn about animal behaviour, understanding how waves and the ocean work, and lighting and seasonal changes in landscape photography.
Understanding these will help photographers put themselves in the best positions and environment to not only take the best photos, but to also be safe when working in the elements.
Wildlife Photography Workshops
My wildlife photography workshops facilitated through Wildlife Bytes are my most popular workshops. These include either a full or half-day at Australia Zoo where we go behind the scenes to get up close and personal with wildlife and don’t have the hindrance of fences or timid animals. This allows photographers to understand the nature of certain species and become more comfortable in their presence.
Full creative retreat includes:
- Photography (your choice of)
- Photography excursions
- Australia Zoo
- Mary Cairncross Park
- Noosa National Park
- Outback Austalia
- Stay at beautiful Moffat beach
I don’t have set dates as I like to be flexible and customise workshops to the needs and desires of the participants.
Because of seasonal conditions, surfing is not always an option on the Sunshine Coast. During flat periods, other activities include snorkelling, diving, kayaking and whale watching.
During dangerous surf conditions, the ocean is at its best to be observed and photographed.
